Hi! I want to share with you real quick about the amazing thing that happened to me this Easter weekend. If you have time please read it. Thank you!

God has once again set me free but this time I acted it, this time I boldly went forth and believed it and tested it. I did not fear and I let God be God. Amazing spiritual thinks happened to me then and ever since. I go to a Church of about 600 or more people and never did I think that I could stand up boldly in front of all and tell them about what Jesus can do in peoples lives and what He has done in mine. I was convinced that I was an introvert and subject to anxiety and inhibitions that would keep me from doing this, and so much more for the Lord Jesus Christ.

God woke me up! And this last blessed Easter Sunday I stood up in the middle of the service walked up to the pastor and asked him if I could say something to every one. He said sure and in front of all those people I did the easiest thing I ever did in my life and that was to tell them what I am now sharing with you. Was I nervous? No. It made me feel great and made others feel great about what God was telling them through me and what He has done in my life. Praise God! He has risen from the dead and he has raised me too! For 33 years Satan convinced me that I was not the right person for ministry and sharing the loving word and news of Jesus Christ. It was like being in jail for most of my life and the release date was this last weekend for me. It is like winning the lottery, but so much better, because money means nothing in the long run (especially after we die) and the possibilities for me are endless and filled with joy now. The same thing can happen to you!

I am one of the happiest people on earth today because I am free from sin and self. Thank you for letting me share what has happened to me this Easter. I can now and have already gone out in boldness and told complete strangers, neighbors, people at work, friends and family about Jesus Christ and what He has done for me and what He can do for them. And they are not offended to hear about these things and I am not afraid to tell them about Jesus, as a matter of fact it puts a smile on their face and it is something which is eternal. He can do the same and more for ANYONE! Praise God!

I had decided to take a little break from writing about the crap in our society, until this headline caught my eyes.

Homeland Deputy Arrested in Seduction Case

Sometimes I wonder what kind of sick things people in power are into. I’m sure there are plenty of deviants in our government and I’m curious what some are doing to fulfill their fantasies and cover up their acts. Just who are some of the people in power and what kind of sick crap are some of them into? I have to believe that most are not as stupid or foolish as the deputy press secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Brian J. Doyle. Not to give any criminal respect or any kind of credit, but some of the deviants in power can’t be as idiotic as this guy. (Although I wish they were.)

Authorities said they arrested Doyle on Tuesday at his Silver Spring, Md., home, as he was online with an under cover detective posing as a 14-year-old girl. Yes, a high-ranking official of homeland security believed that a person on-line who he had never met before was a 14-year-old girl. Doyle found the teenager's profile online and began having sexually explicit conversations with her on the Internet on March 14.

He sent the girl pornographic movie clips, as well as non-sexual photos of himself, officials said. One of the photos, released by the sheriff's office, shows Doyle in what appears to be DHS headquarters. He is wearing a Homeland Security pin on his lapel and a lanyard that says “TSA”. Hey, Doyle had to represent. Evidently giving props to all his “homies” at the TSA.

During online conversations, Doyle revealed his name, who he worked for and offered his office and government-issued cell phone numbers to who he thought was the girl. It is also reported that on several occasions, Doyle instructed her to perform a sexual act while thinking of him, and described explicit activities he wanted to have with her.

Doyle is now facing charges of transmission of harmful material to a minor.

CHICAGO - Charges were announced Wednesday against 27 people in the United States, Canada, Australia and Great Britain in connection with an Internet chat room allegedly used to trade child porn and view real-time child molestation.
The accused allegedly exchanged videos of live molestation, or what authorities are calling “molestation on demand.”

U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who appeared at a news conference in Chicago, said seven victims were identified, one of them less than 18 months old.
Gonzales said the images, sent through a peer-to-peer network, represented "the worst imaginable forms of child pornography."

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents infiltrated the ring during the last year and began making arrests last week, the sources told NBC.

Thirteen of the suspects are charged in the United States.

The Associated Press said that arrests were made in Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, New York, North Carolina and Tennessee.

The chat room, called “Kiddypics and Kiddyvids,” allowed users to share pictures and video.

Julie Myers, assistant secretary of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, appeared with Gonzales and said the trade in child pornography has expanded with the emergence of new technology.

There is more "home-grown child pornography" she said, and more new victims, with video and photographs shared on-line.

ICE took part in the investigation because the case involved cross-border crimes.

After writing my last post I prayed for someting like this to happen, to bring attention to the problem. Every parent and everyone with an ounce of humanity needs to voice their opinions against child porn. We should only elect officials to office that take a strong stand against this sickening behavior. These people need the book thrown at them and I truly believe their crimes will follow them into the after-life.

Reading some of the forums and blogs of true crimes I have heard pedophiles go to all kinds of exhaustive lengths to justify their deviant behaviors. Many believe that looking at a sexual image of a child is their right and that it's natural and justifiable. Some argue that child porn and child abuse are two separate things. The arguments they pose can be sickening and nauseating to listen to. In other more simple words its all BULL SH!T.

Is there a connection between child porn and child molestation? According to Victor Cline, emeritus professor of the University of Utah psychology department, 35 percent to 40 percent of people who deal in child pornography will try to act on their fantasies. "These people can get addicted to this, and when they do, it leads to desensitization," said Cline who treats sexual addictions. "After a while, what was shocking and upsetting becomes acceptable," he said. "They escalate and they start searching out stuff that's more rough and bold. Sooner or later, they start to act out."

I don't care about any excuse a pedophile might come up with. The fact is that every time a pornographic or sexually suggestive picture of a child gets traded around, that child gets victimized. Child porn is abuse. It deteriorates a society. It is unhealthy. It is dead wrong in all aspects. And it's getting worse. This monster is growing not because it is becoming more acceptable or because more pedophiles are coming out of the closet (as some of them may say) but because like a diseases it worsensens, infects, spreads and eventually kills.

According to a National Children's Homes report, the number of Internet child pornography images has increased 1500% since 1988.

Approximately 20% of all Internet pornography involves children.

More than 20,000 images of child pornography are posted on the Internet every week (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, 10/8/03).

Demand for pornographic images of babies and toddlers on the Internet is soaring (Prof. Max Taylor, Combating Pedophile Information Networks in Europe, March 2003).

More babies and toddlers are appearing on the net and the abuse is getting worse. It is more torturous and sadistic than it was before. The typical age of children is between six and 12, but the profile is getting younger (Prof. Max Taylor, Combating

Approximately 20 new children appear on the porn sites every month - many kidnapped or sold into sex (Combating Pedophile Information Networks in Europe, March 2003).

Anyone can find child porn on the internet. Conduct the right search, and sites offering this sickness can be plentiful. There is a market for it and if money is involved there will be a way to market it. But with today's technologies and great minds are we saying that it is such a great problem that we cannot find a way to shut down each and every one of those sites?

Please continue to bother your elected officials, getting them to toughen all laws against these creeps.

More signs to know if those in your life are worthy to be kicked out of it.
Today signs of an abuser focusing on the bastards that abuse children:

-An abuser has unrealistically high standards and expectations for himself/herself and his/her children.
-They are rigid or compulsive.
-They are hostile and aggressive
-They may be impulsive with poor emotional control.
-They are authoritative and demanding.
-An abuser fears or resent authority.
-An abuser lacks control or fears losing control.
-They can be cruel or sadistic.
-They are irrational.
-An abuser is incapable of child rearing.
-They trust no one.
-They believe in the necessity of harsh physical discipline.
-They accept violence as a viable means of problem resolution.
-They may have an undue fear of spoiling the child.
-They consistently react to the child with impatience or annoyance.
-They may be overcritical of the child and seldom discuss the child in positive terms.
-An abuser will lack understanding of the child’s physical and emotional needs.
-They will be reluctant or unable to explain the child’s injury or condition or give explanations that are far-fetched or inconsistent with the injury.
-An abuser will over- or underreact to an injury to the child.
-They to consent to diagnostic studies of the child.
-They have the child treated by a different hospital or physician each time the child needs medical attention.
-An abuser perceive himself/herself as alone, without friends or support.
-An abuser views seeking or accepting help as a weakness.
-An abuser may have an emotionally dependent spouse.
-And finally, they may have been physically abused himself/herself.
(We need to stop that cycle)

Too many times the warning signs are not heeded. And when a victim does come forward, too many times they are not heard or treated properly. And too many times our justice system fails to protect the victim and dish out the proper punishment.

Besides this blog I have another hobby. I have a Xanga site educating young teens about the dangers of the Internet. Xanga is a blog host that many teens and even pre-teens use. Unfortunately most give out way to much information. I have found out that pedophiles love Xanga, they even have their own blogrings and display pornographic images and pics of their penis. Yah I know, it’s disgusting. The good news is that I'm getting a lot of teens reading my site, and the response has been good. Many kids after reading my posts have changed their ways.

Flaws in our legal system are wide spread and every state has its judicial problems. But recently the state of Michigan has made two very big foul-ups. First, the case of little Ricky Holland killed by his negligent adoptive parents. The state had known about abuse that was happening in that household and the many complaints from people in authority about the Holland home. I’m not blaming Michigan for the death of that little boy, the Holland’s should pay with their lives for that one, but the state could of prevented this tragedy by doing their job.

The recent case of Patrick Selepak and Samantha Bachynski who were well on their way to a serial killing spree and had murdered three people in just a few days, could also have been prevented by the state. Selepak had been in prison a little over a month ago on parole violation. But a corrections worker did not schedule a hearing which would of kept Selepak in prison. The prison staff decided to place Selepak back on parole releasing him January 10. That same day Selepak and Bachinski got engaged. They celebrated by stealing a handgun.

Other hold-ups and crimes kept the happy couple satisfied until they decided to visit an acquaintance last week. The visit was to a young pregnant woman and her husband who they robbed, tortured and killed. After that, an unlucky yet generous 52-year-old father of three offered shelter to Selepack and his fiancée. That man was also reported to be tortured and killed.

Fortunately a brave citizen of the great state of Michigan recognized the infamous couple and they were quickly captured.

Some of the following characteristics of a pedophile still take me by surprise (highlighted are the shockers or scary aspects). We all need to be aware of those around us, especially those around our children.

Characteristics of a Pedophile

· Popular with both children and adults.
· Can be trustworthy and respectable. Has good standing in the community.
· Prefers the company of children. Feels more comfortable with children than adults. They are mainly attracted to prepubescent boys and girls. Can be heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual.
· “Grooms” children with quality time, video games, parties, toys, gifts, money or candy.
· Singles out “troubled” children or ones in need of attention or affection.
· Often dates or marries women with children that are the age of his preferred victims.
· Physical contact is usually gradual, from touching, to picking up, to holding on lap, to kissing, etc.
· Finds different ways and places to be alone with children.
· Mostly male, masculine, better educated, more religious than average. In their thirties and choosing jobs that allow greater access to children.
· Are usually family men, have no criminal record, and deny that they abuse children, even after caught, convicted, incarcerated, and court ordered into a sex offender program. The marriage is often troubled by sexual dysfunction and serves as a smokescreen for the pedophile’s true preference and practices.
· Are often but not always themselves victims of childhood sexual abuse.
· Their home is usually child friendly with toys, video games, swing sets, skateboards, pool, snacks, etc.. (Things to attract children to their home and keep them coming back)
· A female pedophile usually abuses a child when partnered with an adult male pedophile and is often herself a victim of chronic abuse.
· A pedophile can act independently or be involved in an organized ring, including the internet, NAMBLA(North American Man Boy Love Association), and other pro-pedophilia groups. Some recognize their behavior as criminal and immoral, and so, operate in secrecy. Some may be open and quite militant about their acts. They may advocate the normalization of pedophilia under the guise of freedom of speech and press, and use innocuous language like “intergenerational intimacy”.

Experts agree that pedophiles will not stop on their own, and will not turn themselves in. A pedophile does not take responsibility for his behavior and denies that they are doing anything harmful. They will abuse until caught.

Agreed also is the fact that they cannot be cured, just treated. Their sexual preference has always been and will always be, children. Their urges will always be present.

Yesterday I posted different signs to tell you if someone is lying. Today's signs are listed for one to recognize a psychopath\sociopath.

-Freudian slips of the tongue (indicative of mental conflict)

-Guilt feelings (covered up, but wants to be punished for something)

-Uses defense mechanism of projection (blaming others for own faults)

-Uses defense mechanism of displacement (ditching, self-handicapping, settling for 2nd best, being own worst enemy, but feels entitled to something or being 1st)

-Oral fixation (smokes or always has to have something in mouth)

-Oedipus complex (or other love/hate relationship with parents)

-Comes from dysfunctional family or broken home (absent or abusive father)

-Impervious to fear, anxiety, depression, or remorse (unremorseful)

-Superficially charming, a real cool cat (manipulative and conning)

-Inability to love or express emotions deeply, can't respond to kindness (cold)

-Pathological lying (for no reason at all, can't help self)

-No self-insight (doesn't reflect much upon own personality makeup)

-No self-humor (can't stand to be the butt of jokes or can't laugh at self)

-A fairly high IQ (good grades in school or disparity in achievement)

-Uses neologisms (makes up strange new words, abbreviations, or sayings)

-Fascination with fire (or death, or purified ways to destroy something)

-Cruelty to animals (or doesn't like animals)

-Lack of probity, courtesy, or doesn't tolerate society's "niceties" or obligations

-Moody, obsessive-compulsive, suffers from one or more phobias

-Does not tend to learn from mistakes unless immediate punishment given

-Lack of formal-operational thinking (tends to think in concrete, black-or-white terms)

-Identity conflict (often with delayed adolescence, hasn't grown up in certain ways)

-Preconventional morality (thinks things are wrong only because it might lead to punishment or it's not in his/her best interests right now, failure to understand disparities between own behavior and socially acceptable behavior, often in trouble with law)

Signs of Deceit

The following are known signs of a person lying. They are indicators which should serve as a pattern to detect a liar. Every criminal lies and many are experts at it. They are very good at deceptions, manipulations and mistruths.

· Liars tend to move their arms, hands, and fingers less and blink less than people telling the truth. A liar’s voice can become more tense or high-pitched. The extra effort needed to remember their story and what they already said may cause liars to restrain movements and fill their speech with pauses. People shading the truth tend to make fewer speech errors and rarely backtrack to fill in forgotten or incorrect details

· People who lie tend to avoid details in favor for bold facts. When a person is genuinely sad, their forehead wrinkles with grief and the inner corners of their eyebrows associated with an angry scowl can be faked by almost anybody. If someone says they are sad and the inner corners of their eyebrows don’t go up then likely they are faking it.

· Liars often repeat the questions that are given to them.

· When smiling, a person moves more than just the mouth. The muscle around the eye that gives crow’s-feet also moves. Liars tend to just move their mouths.

· People who lie may also feel fear, guilt, or delight in fooling others. They mumble and take longer pause between a question and response than an honest person would. This happens because the liar is not sure where they are going with the lie or they might be having trouble following through with the lie.

· A liar’s speech pattern changes. Liars may mispronounce words or mumble more than the honest person. This happens because the liar is not sure where they may be going with the lie or might be having trouble following through with the lie.

· People who lie may fidget which can indicate nervousness due to the deception.

· Touching the face while talking may be a sign that the person is uncomfortable or deceptive. The higher up on the face the worse the lie.

· Liars have shifty eyes. A liar will often not look you straight in the eye.

· A liars pupils may change in size. This happens because when under stress, adrenaline is released causing pupils to dilate. Enlarged pupils alone don’t indicate a liar. Always look for a pattern.

· Liars tend to tap their fingers, scratch their nose, fake coughs and play with something in their fingers. Also heavy breathing, sweating or a tight jaw may be signs.

· Another indicator is if a person looks up while talking.

· People who lie tend not to use pronouns like “I” or “me”.

· When questioned enough, liars will often not be able to remember the lies they have made up and will attack or leave before they are trapped.

· Liars in general are afraid of getting caught and might feel guilty. This can cause a liar to express anger or pace around as a show to hide their anxiety.

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - For nearly two years, Daniel Porter gave various accounts of what happened to his missing children, telling authorities he killed them, he sold them, they were part of a pornography ring.A jury Thursday convicted Porter, 42, of kidnapping the youngsters in 2004 to terrorize his ex-wife. He faces up to 38 years in prison.

"What happened here today doesn't really change anything," Tina Porter said afterward. "Sam and Lindsey are still gone."

The verdict came after about four hours of deliberations. Porter left the courtroom hiding his face behind a yellow legal pad. His ex-wife cried and hugged prosecutors.

Sam and Lindsey have not been seen since June 2004, when Daniel Porter picked them up from his ex-wife at their Independence home. They were 7 and 8 at the time.

In closing arguments, prosecutor Bronwyn Werner said Porter used the children to get back at his ex-wife.

"He did this to hurt her. That's what he said. He did it to punish her," Werner said. "He did it to spite her."

Defense attorney Tim Burdick said Porter was abused as a child and his actions were aimed at protecting his children. "There is no way that my children are going to grow up like I did," Burdick quoted Porter as saying.

Last year, Porter was sentenced to 10 years in prison on an unrelated gun charge. Prosecutors had hoped the sentence would persuade him to reveal his children's whereabouts.

Sgt. Dennis Green, a detective with the Independence Police Department, said authorities continue to look for the children. Investigators have scoured the Kansas City suburbs of Independence and Sugar Creek and searched the area around Daniel Porter's hometown of Trenton in northern Missouri, but have come up with nothing.

"There's only God and Daniel that know where these children are," jury foreman Rick Bailey said.

I could make Daniel talk.

Once a crime like this has been committed, then that criminal has given up all of his rights. An offender like Daniel is a trader to not only humanity, but to this country. In my eyes and many others, this coward still holds the upper hand. He is probably sitting in his cell right now satisfied that no one knows where the kids are and that he was able to spite his wife in such a heinous way. This clown is probably wearing a grin like he just got done dining in his toilet. For the sake of justice, the kids, and the wife, torturing him for answers is called for.

Why is the greatest Nation in history unable to bring forth justice? Why can't we bring a man like this down to his knees begins for mercy after telling all? Every man has a breaking point. This society of ours is failing us for the simple reason of justice not served. Why do we let the small percentage of criminals put fear into us? Why does it seem like they are protected? Why is society feeding them?

A girl awakes to find a man’s hands between her legs. She begins to cry. She looks up and asks, “Daddy what are you doing”? The five year old moves around to avoid her “Dads” strange behavior. But like a wild animal he keeps pulling her down.

The brave little girl eventually tells her Mother (also an abuse victim) what happened between her and “Daddy”.

The offender, Paul Medlin avoids jail time by pleading guilty. Most likely he sheds some tears, promises to get help and never ever do such a thing again. Maybe his excuse is too much alcohol or drugs (or lack of). He pleads and finds a soft side in the judge. Sentencing comes to 5 years probation, even. Thank you for shopping at our justice system. See you again soon.

Paul’s wife makes the best decision in her life and gets a divorce. The court also ordered supervision for Paul and he was not allowed near children. But that did not stop Paul. He was poorly supervised and his urges where stronger than the will of the state. Paul has a thing for little girls and the lifetime of damage he inflicts on them does nothing to stop him. So it does not take long for Paul Medlin to once again molest a little girl. This time just before the victims 6th birthday. He rapes the girl while threatening her with a knife. But hey, NOW he is in jail without bond.

Welcome to South Carolina one of many states that could care less about children and enables sex offenders to act again.

The Coward In Some Men

Abuse is a pattern of coercive control that one person exercises over another.

Spousal abuse is a problem all over the world. Could it be that the mid-east is known as such a violent unstable region because of spousal abuse? I’m no expert but it seems like the problems in the Middle East are seeded in the house. It is widely known that the male has “coercive control over women” in that region. The birth of most criminal behavior can be found in an abusive home. I detest men who harm women, especially when done so physically. A man who harms women or children is a coward. This post could easily be about the comparison of men who commit domestic abuse and the men (cowards) who commit terrorist acts and threaten this great country. But I would like all to be aware of the problem here in the good ole’ U.S.of A..

4 million American women experience a serious assault by a partner on average in a one-year period. About three women or more are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends every day. And to top off these and many more disturbing statistics, out of 30% of women who experience abuse, the first incident occurred during pregnancy. Homes where abuse is present can be another breeding ground for future criminals. The costs, physically monetary and mentally are staggering.

Most true crime aficionados have heard plenty of stories of the husband killing his wife and\or children. The cases are plenty and some highly publicized. But what about those quiet nightmares that occur every day in all kinds of homes across this country? Can anything be done to stop the abuse that some women and children have to endure? Just like any crime victims and potential victims, they need to be given a helping hand (a safe haven and treatment when necessary) education and justice.

Steelers Go Bird Hunting!

Long days with no sunshine. Fog thickly mesmerizing the mind, thoughts begin to drift to a darker side. Rain. Rain all day drenching the soul washing out optimism. Welcome to Seattle. Home of the Seahawks, who will be making their first Super Bowl appearance this Sunday in Detroit. Hawk fans are excited, to say the least. But a cloud of doubt may have followed the Hawk Nation from Seattle to the Big Game. The Seahawks are under dogs. And rightfully so.

Seattle is out of their element, and a more determined and all around tougher team has made their way to the Motor City.

Steeler fans have taken over Detroit. Detroit has embraced them. The fans are exuberant, sharing more commonality with Detroit than Seattleites could ever hope for.

My take: Steelers are going bird hunting, their after victory meal will consist of champagne and fowl. Sorry Seahawks.

Honestly, both teams have fire power and good solid defense. It's going to be one heck of a game.

Alito: 0-1

I was somewhat satisfied with the decision of making Alito the new Supreme Court Justice. With Alito being known for a man of high integrity and his toughness on crime, he was expected to side more often with prosecutors. Yesterday, his first day on the job, Alito sided with a child rapist and killer.
Justice is once again thwarted.

Alito, handling his first case, sided with inmate Michael Taylor, who had won a stay from an appeals court earlier in the evening.
Taylor was convicted of killing 15-year-old Ann Harrison, who was waiting for a school bus when he and an accomplice kidnapped her in 1989. Taylor pleaded guilty and said he was high on crack cocaine at the time.
Taylor's legal team had pursued two challenges claiming that lethal injection is cruel and unusual punishment and that his constitutional rights were violated by a system tilted against black defendants.
The court, acting without Alito, rejected Taylor's appeal that argued that Missouri's death penalty system is racist. Taylor is black and his victim was white.

Last August a Collinsville, Illinois serial raping spree came to an end. For now, anyway. The rapist was sentenced Tuesday for only 10 years, and only has to serve 85% of it.

Samuel Levitan age 22 is a predator, child molester, serial rapist, and when he gets out maybe even murderer. He is accused of raping two teen girls and assaulting three others. Samuel cruised chat rooms for his prey. He coerced the girls to meet him and then he would take them to his house to force himself on them. One of the girls, a fifteen year old, went to the police last August and Samuel was arrested. Since then four others have come forward with similar allegations.

The 15 year old victim who first came forward lived in St. Peters Missouri. Somehow after meeting Samuel in a chat room Samuel was able to find her phone number and address. Posing as a 16 year old, the man drove to her house and gave her a call. Parked outside of the girls home he called saying, "Hey, I'm parked outside your house. Why don't you come outside and talk to me." The trap was set and it was about to spring shut on the unsuspecting teen.

After the rapist was arrested the police grew very concerned about Samuel having more than just one victim. They released pictures and information on the suspect. Four more girls came forward, one accusing Samuel of rape and the other two of assault, all taking place at his home and after chatting with them on the net. Samuel would pose as a 16 year old and deceived his way into their lives forever. Law enforcement suspect there are even more victims out there. The police at one point even suspected that Samuel had killed some of his victims.

State prosecutors this week accepted a plea bargain from the rapist. He confessed to only one of the rapes and was sentenced to less than 10 years. Case closed. Or is it?

What happens in eight years from now when Samuel gets out? Chances are, by then, the prison system will have turned him into an even harder criminal - even a murderer, if he isn't already.
How does our judicial system breed murderers? Just like this. Almost everyday. In this great country of ours.

I believe that if enough people complain and voice their opinions and beliefs, things can be done. Many people have pretty much given up on our government and do not believe that their voice will make a difference. Please do not fall for that deception. Write your elected officials today and voice your concerns and opinions. We need tougher laws on child molesters and rapists. We also need tougher laws on murders. My message is simple. It's time to hold states accountable for tracking child sex offenders, hold offenders accountable by enforcing real punishment when they fail to resgister, and to give state governments the money they need to do this once and for all.
Too many innocent children have been harmed and killed by convicted sex offenders who found ways to avoid the very system used to "track" them. The problem is growing, and needless to say, the system is insufficient.
Rather than sitting and waiting for the laws to change, I went to Capitol Hill, along with representatives of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. We marched through the halls of Congress, bringing our message straight to the hearts of those who can fix the problem.
I have some great news to report. They listened.
Members of Congress have worked together to close the loopholes and to fill in the cracks of the current sex offender registration system.
Representative Mark Foley of Florida and his staff worked for a year writing a comprehensive bill with some important conditions.
The U.S. House of Representatives has approved HR3132 creating a national registry of child abuse and neglect cases. The establishment of the national registry was included as part of the Children's Safety Act, approved by the House.
The Provisions Of The Sex Offender Registration And Notification Act:
Sex offenders should have to reregister in person twice a year instead of once.
Violent sex offenders should have to reregister in person every three months.
A new federally maintained sex offender DNA database should be created.
The bill must fully integrate the "Megan's Law" amendment into the Wetterling Act.
The bill must develop clear guidelines to determine the threat level posed by each convicted sex offender Â using three levels of danger to determine who should register and how often they should be monitored by law enforcement.
The bill should mandate use of tracking devices for the worst offenders.
The bill should add to the registry people convicted of using the Internet to commit a crime against a child.
The bill should make it a felony to lie on the registry, or fail to register.
Most importantly, the bill should develop a system for states to communicate with each other when a sex offender crosses state lines.
How You Can Help
Even though the House of Representatives has approved HR3132, there's still work to be done before we have an active and effective law in place. Please write to your senator telling them how much you care about this issue Â and that you support the ideas in S1086. It's time to stand together to protect our children. Dear Senator:
I am a constituent who is very concerned about the sex offenders who live in my community. Recently, there have been many stories in the news about how the current sex offender registration and notification laws don't work, and need to be changed. I think it's a matter of life and death that you help your fellow lawmakers make this change to protect our children. I urge you to support the provisions of S1086 that would create a more comprehensive system for tracking these offenders, and improve the way information is released about these predators to our communities.
Today, there are more than 500,000 sex offenders who are supposed to be registered in the U.S.; however, it's believed that 100,000 of these offenders are 'lost' in the system. We must:
Close the loopholes between state programs, so sex offenders can't move from state to state and elude authorities.
Provide federal and state funding so law enforcement agencies have the resources to track these predators.
Make sure that information about sex offenders is released to all of our communities. Thank you for taking the time to read my views on this issue.

"You have to protect your children, and my daughter does not lie to me."Swafford was charged with felony battery on a school employee after he hit the 35-year-old aide in front of a full class at Lakewood Ranch High near Bradenton on Tuesday, authorities said.

A Tampa radio station named him "Father of the Year," offering Swafford and his family Daytona 500 race tickets.The school placed the aide on paid leave Tuesday because of the allegation, district spokeswoman Margi Nanney said. The sheriff's office is investigating.Swafford said he came to school to meet with officials about his 15-year-old daughter's allegations. When he saw that the aide was not at the meeting, Swafford asked his daughter to take him to the man.They argued and "I lost control," Swafford said. Swafford spent about 10 hours in jail before getting out on bail.

BURLINGTON, Vt. - A judge vilified as soft on crime by bloggers, TV commentators and politicians for giving a child molester just 60 days in jail increased the sentence Thursday to three to 10 years behind bars.

Vermont District Judge Edward Cashman said he decided to impose the longer sentence because state officials reversed course and agreed to provide sex-offender treatment to 34-year-old Mark Hulett in prison.

After issuing the original sentence, Cashman was attacked by commentators on TV and on the Internet. On Fox News, Bill O'Reilly told viewers as video of Cashman rolled: "You may be looking at the worst judge in the USA." Gov. James Douglas called on the judge to resign, and several lawmakers demanded his impeachment.

The governor said he considered the new sentence still too lenient. (Too say the least)

Many Judges thing too highly of themselves, so this retraction is pretty big. But, it is still not enough. In three years when this monster gets out children will still be in danger from this creep. The punishment does not fit the crime and another injustice has been committed by the Judge. Shame on Cashman.

We Need Some Jack Justice

24. Arguably one of the best television shows ever. Now into it's 5th season the show does not disappoint. The suspense, action, plot and twists are at times gut wrenching. The suspense and thrill of the show is so good that it is almost not worth watching it on TV. The commercials and week to week waits are almost too much to handle. The DVD's might be a better option. The central figure is Jack Bauer who knows how to dish out some justice. When lives are on the line Jack stops at nothing when it comes to interrogating suspects who hold pertinent information. I would love to see some of his techniques used in certain criminal cases today.

I've heard it said that anyone will talk when the right kind of pressures are put to an individual. We need people to start singing like canneries. Take the case of poor little Evelyn Miller a 5 year old murdered last year in Iowa. Thanks to the outline of the case provided at www.21stcenturymurder.blogspot.com (a great site by the way), I again noticed how many possible suspects there seem to be. Casey Frederiksen, Evelyn's mothers fiance at the time and live in, is a prime suspect to me. His computer had over 1000 images of child porn on it. A pedophile should never be trusted. Many also believe the mother herself has something to do with the crime. The home life situation for little Evely were certainly not ideal and safe for any child. There were adult parties with strangers and of course Casey himself. If the reader wants to know more about the case please go to the link provided above.

The reason I brought up this case was that I believe anyone can be made to talk. And it sure doesn't seem anyone is talking in this case. As in many cases around the country we have too many smug criminals that are not talking because they know the law will protect them. Funny, because the law was not there to protect the victim so why should it be there to protect the criminal. I do not have enough insight to know if torture or other extreme techniques would work. The following is our military's stand on the subject:

Experience indicates that the use of force is not necessary to gain the cooperation of sources for interrogation. However, the use of force is not to be confused with psychological ploys, verbal trickery, or other nonviolent and noncoercive rushes used by the interrogator in questioning hesitant or uncooperative sources.
The psychological techniques and principles outlined should neither be confused with, nor construed to be synonymous with, unauthorized techniques such as brainwashing, mental torture, or any other form of mental coercion to include drugs.

I do not know if the military is correct in its "experiences" about the use of force in interrogations. The military might just be trying to put on a good face. But we need to use more extreme techniques because what we have now in our judicial system does not always work. Especially when national security is at stake, but that's another story.

Realizing that 24 is just good television and that a Jack Bauer may never really exist I believe law enforcement needs to get a little "mid-evil" on some of the scum that reside in our country.

Today I read about a man who received a 10 year prison term for killing a 3 year old child.

Herman Black entered a plea to a lesser charge despite his refusal to lead investigators to the body of the missing child Tyreek Davis, reported missing since September 2004. Well, the problem seems to lay in insufficient evidence to convict Black of a more serious charge. Ten years in prison is not enough justice for a child murderer. But it seems the prosecutor does not have enough evidence and must rely on Black's confession for a lesser sentencing.

The mother of the victim who let Mr. Black take care of the child before he disappeared, stated that she just wants him to tell her where her baby is. Tough dilemma. The murderer only gets 10 years and does not tell anyone where to find the body. The prosecutor I'm sure feels that at least Mr. Black is off the streets.

But what message are we sending to murderers out there? At times I believe it is good to get a confession (when not enough evidence is present). It brings about closure and an end to a manhunt. But 10 years? I'm sure that at times a confession for a plea bargain is the only way to justice. But lets then put people like this (quite innocently of course) into the roughest part of a jail, maybe even into a cell with a man that would kill another scumbag for a pack of cigarettes.

And now for some justice served and due punishment. A serial rapist in Tucson gets 119 years for attacks on 7 women, 5 of whom where raped. The scumbag of the day is 27 year old David Aaron Lopez who may now get a taste of his own medicine from fellow inmates.

Because of scum like him every woman and child has to walk the streets in fear, or not at all. The victims of this criminal predator will have the trauma, nightmares, fears, and many more mental and physical problems to face. Hopefully they all receive excellent help and support from professionals and loved ones. Mr. Lopez faces life in prison. But I say that he got off lightly. He gets 3 meals a bed and who knows what else, basketball, games, reading time, but also maybe a little time with Bubba who thinks that Lopez has a pretty mouth. But I digress, the victims will deal with this monsters crimes upon them for the rest of their life. I'll go so far as to say that a piece of them has been killed by his assaults and a piece of these seven victims is worth more than a whole David Lopez alive.

Some ask if severe crimes with severe punishment will deter future offenders. I say yes, too some degree. If an offender or offender to be knows that one act may land him in prison for the rest of his life or even death, than this may deter some. Maybe even more than just some. But even this puts too much emphasis on the criminal when it should all go to the victim. The victims need to be heard and retribution must come their way. Their voice should be heard not the criminals. Lock certain offenders up for life, and most of us know who they are. Others such as serial rapist of children and woman should be killed. So should murderers. Oh, that's not humane they say! Well, let something like that happen to you or yours and see what you think about humanity after that. Humane actions should lead to extreme punishments if it keeps the perpetrators from committing inhumane acts on others.

Methamphetamine is a drug that is notorious for the violence it can lead to, as well as the extremes its addicts will go to get more. On top of that, the drug can be made almost anywhere by almost anyone. With some common household products and an internet connection people have the products and know how in their home to make meth. What attracts people to drugs is a deep psychological question but can also be answered by availability. Meth, especial in the west and mid-west, is available cheap and can be made at home. Humans have been finding ways to get high throughout history. The urge for escape and to seize a feeling that suppresses all others will be sought after for ever. If it makes you feel good there will be someone to abuse it. Although legal and not as harmful caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol are available at low prices at just about every street corner. And yes I know, alcohol can be very harmful and dangerous for all (i.e. drunk drivers). Illegal drugs in general have been an issue plagued with problems for our entire judicial system. But I believe that meth can quickly become a Nation wide epidemic that threatens our Great Country.

45 states and over 500 law enforcement agencies were surveyed (source:naco.org). 58 percent cited meth as their biggest problem. The synthetic drug is a form of speed that is usually smoked can also be snorted or injected. It becomes quickly addictive. The addiction itself is one not many can escape without everlasting damage to the body and mind. Out of the agencies surveyed 87 percent report increases in meth-related arrests over the last three years. 70 percent state robberies or burglaries have increased. And 62 percent state an increase in domestic violence.

Meth produces a violent craving for more. Meth manufactured in homes and other places poses serious problems for children. The by-products of making meth are toxic, poisonous and explosive. These reasons alone make meth a serious problem. But I have also heard of criminals on meth who get such a serious sexual craving on the drug that they have victimized woman and children, because of the urges intensified by the drug. I will write more on this drug in the future because I believe it is the #1 drug related problem facing our country today. This is a drug that goes hand in hand with violent and elicit behaviors, more so than any other drug I have researched. PRIMETIME! LOCK EM' UP!

It's Friday and my plan was to write something cheerful. That plan changed after last nights airing of Primetime's "Confronting a Sexual Abuser". If you missed it I will provide a link to it below. The story is about a woman who confronts the monster that abused her when she was a child. The problem for me was the way this monster appeared so "un-monster" like during her confrontation with him. The molester was apologetic and appeared to really care for this woman. He was a friend of the victim's family and stated that he always cared for them. It is eerie how "normal" this sick freak appears.

Are child molesters normal people with just a miss-wired mind and drive? No! A lot of them do not live normal healthy life styles. Some seem as they do. They could be your neighbor, the friendly guy down the street that loves children and showers them with gifts and attention. Maybe they are a good friend of yours or even a family member. My point is that on the surface there is no profile that will have an offender stick out like a sore thumb. But are they dealing with a sickness that can be treated? Because studies show that they cannot. As of right now I do not care if it's a psychological, physical, or inherited problem. I want it stopped! Why not do all we can to rid our streets of these monsters first? Stop the viscous cycle by locking a rapist up for life. Bleeding heart liberals will say that it's too harsh, that we are to care for these people and treat them.

If you've watched the Dateline specials on Predators on the Internet then you may realize how strong a molesters urges are. Dateline conducted sting operations posing as children who are home alone and whose parents were out of town. They posed as a teen boy or girl on the internet and had them come over to the house. Dateline was waiting in the house to confront them. All kinds showed up, from E.R. workers, rabbi's, school workers and complete idiots. Some molesters show up at a kids house risking everything (well nowadays just a slap on the wrist) driven by strong unnatural and twisted urges. Why? Why the strong drive that consumes their lives and takes control? Why are some willing to risk so much? Would that drive still take control and move them into action if the punishment was life in prison? Castration? Death?
My belief is that the great number of pedophiles out there can be stopped. I would like a pedophile, molester or rapist in the making to know that if they go through with their sick fantasies all of hell will be coming for them. And yes, we need to stop child porn on the internet, and with that too we need harsher punishments. If a creep supports these sites, they are contributing to the crime against the victim and need to be extremely punished. Contact your elected officials!

Sickening Crimes Of Opportunity

The picture on the left is more humor than the way it should be, but it may be a good idea anyway.

Many sexual predators commit their crimes by taking opportunity of a situation which in their minds will have them "get away" with their sickening acts. Take the case of Maura Murray who I believe fell victim of foul play. As stated on the site mauramurray.com, "Maura disappeared on 2/9/04 approximately 7:30 pm following a minor 1-car accident on Route 112 near Woodsville, NH. A witness stopped and spoke with Maura then called police from their nearby home. When police arrived 10 minutes later Maura was missing. Since then, Maura's bank account, credit cards and cell phone have had no activity. Maura is a 23 year old Hanson, MA native, a UMASS Amherst nursing student and a former USMA West Point Cadet." Was this a case where a predator saw an opportunity and took this young lady? I believe it very well could of been. There are numerous missing persons, and murdered persons found, that have been victims of opportunity. Beside killing these monsters off, what can we do to protect our selves and loved ones?

1. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. If you find yourself in a vulnerable situation, get out of it. Become extremely defensive and make yourself look larger and meaner. Be ready to strike out and never ever go away with anyone who you are unwilling to go with, even if your life is on the line. Never get into their car.

2. Do not trust your children with anyone (even family) unless you are 100% certain that your loved ones are save with them. Trust your gut. But even 100% trust and your gut can be wrong. Most child molesters are ones that the victim knows and may even trust. Pray!

The Thin Red Line

This blog got me to list my favorite movies. I have a lot of favorites. But it got me thinking about the best, the most meaningful, the one I think about quite a bit. Now I love humor and if life was just a little less serious, the movie I would pick as the best would be Dumb and Dumber (please don't stop reading). But unfortunately life can be quite grimm, human history has been and is being right now smeared with blood and disharmony. Nature displays this to us, turmoil abounds and something is utterly wrong with life as we know it. No movie which I have ever seen brings this into light so poetical, heartbreakingly and monumentally as Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line. The movie is not for anyone. I can see how many people could dislike this film. It is disturbing, but it is about the nature and reality of man and nature. The film is also a visual masterpiece because of Terrence Malick's genius behind the camera.

Basically the movie is a World War II story about American troops battling the Japanese on the Island of Guadalcanal. But it is nothing like the usual War movie from Hollywood. Yes, the acting is great. Yes, the movie has star power. Yes, there are intense fighting scenes. But again it is so much deeper than just that and every time I see it I get something new out of it. The struggle of life and death, and hate and love is brilliantly infused into The Thin Red Line. There are a lot of quiet scenes in this movie, which I see as a time to reflect on what was being said and integrating those thoughts into the great cinematogrophy. Try this movie, but make sure you have the time and the mindset to delve into its meaning, its beauty, and its stark terror and sadness. The film is one of my favorites especially because the 20th century was the bloodiest in the history of mankind. I do not want to see this happening in the 21st.

What a story to start my blog with. Judge Edmund Cashman (Left) from the liberated state of Vermont has taken it upon himself to sentence a child molester who raped a girl for over four years (the victim was just 6 years old when this freak began), to an astonishing 60 days in jail.

Are you kidding me? I mean should I even write about my outrage?

The Judge said that he sentenced the victim, ehhrr..., rapist for only 60 days because it is, "designed to ensure the man got prompt sex-offender treatment." WOW, what a humanitarian. Maybe the judge feels sorry for this child rapist because he can relate. What incompetence! So we should let all the pedophiles out of jail and give them free treatment. All the experts and law officials who state that these creeps can't be rehabilitated are now wrong. All the books and studies I have read about the frightening high recedivism rate for sexual criminals, especially pedophiles, and that treatment is basically useless, well their all wrong. The Almighty Judge Cashman knows best.

As of this moment I have no idea where this blogging will get me and its purpose is still somewhat mysterious. First I'd like to state that I am not a vigilante nor do I believe in people taking the law into their own hands (although there should be exceptions to that rule, more on that later). I have a fascination with crime and punishment and believe that crime is unnecessarily rampant and the latter is absurdly lacking. Americans want justice and enjoy revenge (are justice and revenge the same thing?). Look at most television shows and movies and what one finds is an underlining or blatant revenge factor. We enjoy such themes because our society lacks proper punishment and retribution for those that do us wrong. In this blog I would like to expose crime and punishment in the United States. I would like to encourage anyone who feels the same to help bring about reform in our legal system. I hope to bring about more ideas on how to do that. As of right now I would like to report on criminal acts, their effect on society and their judicial outcome. I have been inspired by writers and reporters on Court TV and The Crime Library and bloggers affiliated with them or their content. We as a country should be outraged with the crimes that are being perpetrated on us and the lack of punishment our government is dishing out, specifically crimes against women and children. For the most part we are outraged, so lets stop the frustration by making sure our elected officials are doing their job. And their job is to be our voice and make decisions we as a majority would like them to make.
I have chosen the name of this blog not because I believe people should take the law into their own hand or because I am a big fan of The Punisher. What I do like about the whole theme of The Punisher is the fear it brings into the fictional criminals of its stories and that one man can make a difference. Am I looking to make a difference? Yes and so should you. I believe that the U.S. is the greatest nation ever and the best human achievement to date and if this nation is to fall it will do so from the inside out. A society is measured by how it treats its women and children.

I know, I know. A blog like this should only be about one theme. But you have to admit that the theme of crime and punishment can get a little dark. Depression seems to be an American past time. I want this blog to include fun subjects as well, such as books, movies, sports and outdoor activities. The serious things in life mixed with a collection of lightheartedness, humor, and entertainment. I like reading a good book. Watching an entertaining flick.
